trancejen's Diaryland Diary

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Opening Day.

This morning marked my first Little League experience. Thankfully it wasn't too painful.

The kids were thrilled to be in the parade, and amazingly no one jumped ship.

If you'll look to the left of this picture, you will see my mother, grabbing for candy in the street. I pretended not to know her.

The J-Man's team. The J-Man is the one in the coat, because I am a Jewish mother.

J. at bat.

I may or may not have smashed my face into the fence while screaming, "RUN!!!!!"

Rocking out hardcore.

Surveying the scene.

Waiting for the adoring fans to mob the dugout.

Actually, I was impressed with the kid. He did spend a fair amount of time screwing around, but he also scored two runs and actually hit the ball, went after the ball, and appeared to be slightly interested.

Shocker.

Happy Saturday.
